Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, represented by the AlFursan loyalty program, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA).
The collaboration, facilitated by the Ehsan National Platform for Charitable Work, aims to bolster solidarity and community engagement in supporting charitable initiatives. This partnership allows AlFursan loyalty program members to contribute their miles to charitable causes through Ehsan.
The MoU was signed by Essam Akhonbay, Vice President of the AlFursan Loyalty Program at Saudia, and Engr. Ibrahim Alhusaini, CEO of Ehsan.
The agreement is seen as an incentive to facilitate the digital donation process for AlFursan members through the Saudia website and mobile application.
Essam Akhonbay, Vice President of the AlFursan Loyalty Program at Saudia, stated, “Saudia is proud and honored to partner with SDAIA to empower AlFursan members to make digital donations to the leading charity platform, ‘Ehsan,’ which is committed to advancing the charitable sector. Charity holds special significance during Ramadan, making the launch of this initiative during the holy month more meaningful as it encourages giving.”
Engr. Ibrahim Alhusaini, CEO of Ehsan, noted that the MoU aligns with the National Platform for Charitable Work in its fourth edition, initiated on the fifth of Ramadan. It received generous donations from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and H.H. Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, reflecting their ongoing support for charitable work in the Kingdom.
He emphasized that the memorandum aims to encourage the culture of donation and community solidarity, in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, while also supporting community projects and humanitarian causes. With the support of SDAIA to streamline charitable efforts, the holy month of Ramadan stands out as a time of giving and generosity, witnessing a significant turnout.
