Saudi Ministry and Saudi Red Sea Authority Launch Training Program Boosting Coastal Tourism
The Saudi Red Sea Authority, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, launched yesterday the “Seas of Excellence” training program to improve the quality of tourism services and adopt international best practices to deliver a luxurious coastal tourism experience. Minister of Tourism Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb attended the launch ceremony.
According to the Ministry of Tourism, the program is offered for the first time on board the European Cruise and is accredited by the British University of Plymouth and Dale Carnegie.
The program will equip employees at luxury coastal resorts and travel agencies with professional skills essential in the tourism sector, to ensure that visitors to the Kingdom enjoy an exceptional experience.
The undertaking is part of the Ministry of Tourism and Saudi Red Sea Authority’s efforts to enhance the coastal tourism experience by harnessing the potential of national talent.
Tourism Minister Sponsors Signing of Professional Training Contract Ending with Employment at Red Sea Global
The Minister sponsored in Jeddah today the signing of a professional training contract ending with employment between the Red Sea Global (RSG), Bonyan Academy, and Batterjee Medical College, within the Saudi Summer Program. The memorandum includes the provision of 500 professional training seats ending with employment at the RSG, as part of the ministry’s keenness to empower energies and develop the capabilities of national youth.
Al-Khateeb stressed the ministry’s keenness to provide distinguished job opportunities for Saudi citizens in the tourism sector, pointing out that this comes as part of the Ministry of Tourism’s endeavors to support the quality applied programs to enable Saudis to work in the promising tourism sector.
The training program aims to provide workers in luxury seaside resorts and travel agencies with the necessary professional skills consistent with the national professional standards of skills in the tourism sector, in order to provide an exceptional experience for visitors to the summer of Saudi Arabia.
Minister Al-Khateeb Discusses Tourism Investment Opportunities in Jeddah, Taif
Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb on Monday met with investors in the tourism sector to discuss investment opportunities in Jeddah and Taif.
The meeting in Jeddah also aimed to discuss the support provided by the Ministry of Tourism to investors, present the Tourism Investment Enablers Program (TIEP), and highlight ongoing projects.
The discussions covered important tourism topics, showcasing significant developmental progress achieved by the sector through completed and ongoing projects. The meeting highlighted the significant support provided by the state to these projects to solidify its position on the global tourism map.
Vice Minister of Tourism Princess Haifa Bint Mohammed Al Saud and Jeddah Chamber chairman of the board of directors Mohammad Youssef Naghi attended the meeting alongside several business owners.
