The Saudi Arabia Ministry of Tourism has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Sabbar digital information technology company to develop national human resources in tourism.
Acting Undersecretary of the Tourism Ministry for Tourism Human Resources Development Hind Al-Zahid and Sabbar Founder and CEO Mohamed Taha Ibrahim signed the memorandum on behalf of their respective institutions at the ministry’s headquarters in the Diplomatic Quarter in Riyadh.
The memorandum aims to frame cooperation between the ministry and the company to collaborate in developing human capital in the tourism sector by employing the largest possible number ofSaudis in the tourism sector to achieve the Saudi Vision 2030.
Signing the memorandum comes within the framework of the ministry’s efforts to increase the number of workers in the tourism sector, which exceeded 925,000 in 2023, including over 241,000 Saudis. The localization rate in the hospitality sector reached 39%, and the ministry seeks to provide an additional one million jobs in the tourism sector by 2030.
